NEW!

Breeze Shorts are your minimalist, relaxed-fit, summer shorts for keeping your cool in the heat. Featuring handy side pockets and a convenient back patch pocket. The wide, old-school boxing style elasticated waistband is an aesthetic statement that also makes for an easy fit.

Breeze Shorts are slightly longer than your average pair of shorts with an airy fit around the leg. Each little design feature has been carefully considered for people (like us) who didn’t wear shorts. But now we do and hope you will too.

There’s nothing like a summer Breeze, so bring on the sunshine, get those legs out and lap up the vitamin D.

ALSO AVAILABLE IN KIDS & TEEN SIZES, because twinning is winning and really rather cute.

Fabric recommendations

Breeze Shorts look particularly good in linen or any similar light to medium weight woven fabric with a bit of drape. Be aware that fabrics without drape may stick out and not hang well. And fabrics that are too thick will be bulky at the gathered waist.

Consider: cotton, cotton blends, flannel, chambray, double gauze, seersucker, viscose…

I love the breeze shorts. Its so comfy and stylish at the same time and it has pockets too.
The ”No Frills” instuctions are easy to understand and follow.
    What are you waiting for?

This pattern is fantastic! Despite being no frills and therefore with less detailed instructions the pattern was still very easy to follow. In fact I really love the way the instructions are set out. I am absolutely delighted with my first pair. I wore them today and they look really stylish (in a medium weight cotton crossweave) and boy are they comfortable. I have just cut out a second pair in cotton and can see me making a whole wardrobe of these (I am already browsing linen fabric) :). Oh and because it is no frills the pattern is super cheap too. A must buy.

  3. Siri Bøvelstad

Love the breeze shorts! It has become my favourite thing to wear. I never thought I was a shorts person, but turns out I am. Love the cut, relaxed and comfy, but still with a silhouette that works for a dressy look. Easy to understand instructions, and a quick sew. The finished result looks very professionally made, pretty on inside and outside. Highly recommend it!

My first pair of shorts that fit and are functional. Pockets everywhere. The instructions are better than the Big Four. I’ve learnt two new techniques that have inspired me to sew a full MadeIt 🚲🚲🚲 commuter wardrobe. This Jammie Dodger has been so moved by the size inclusivity and the way you’ve approached sizing. Enjoyed every minute of the making. Thank you MadeIt for the perfect athliesure patterns.

  6. Anien Salomons

I made this in light chambray, looks good and sporty. Nice basic shorts. The method for attaching the pocket and elastic waistband are new for me, good to know that I can still learn something even though this is a No Frills pattern

  7. Holly Knauft

I made these shorts out of linen and LOVED how they turned out! This was the first time I’ve made shorts and I learned some new techniques sewing the pockets and waistband. I consider myself still a beginner to sewing clothes and found these easy to make. Now I wonder, could I turn them into cute linen pants on my next pair…??! Great pattern once again!

  8. semvanmanen

This is the most comfortable pair of shorts ever! Easy sew with clear yet simple instructions that still managed to teach me a thing or two.
Big fan of Madeit Patterns als always.

  9. madeleinebeaudet

Such light and comfortable shorts with super spacious pockets! The wide elasticated waistband ensures a great fit. I made my first pair in cotton flannel and I love their structured look. They pair up so well with the Eight Tee.

The “no frills” tutorial is super easy to follow. I found constructing the side pockets was a blast, so brilliant! I especially love how this bit of the pattern is designed and thought through.

These shorts are definitely a summer wardrobe staple for me!

  10. maritprins86

Finally shorts where you can be comfy AND stylish. It’s all about the fabric choice – I made a light cotton one which can be very chic with a nice blouse. But also a relaxed jogging one which is perfect with the Eighttee.
The pattern is very clear and it’s a quick and easy sew. Shorts in no time with a super nice fit

  11. Saskia Jordens

These shorts are fantastic!! It’s really a breeze to sew, and to wear! I love the way you can dress this shorts up, with a blouse, so you can go to work in them. But just for a day at the beach ore in the garden, they are great to.
The “no frills” concept is great, because you get such a cool pattern for almost no money at all, while the pattern pieces are tested to the max!
